Mission Statement

At Pasquale Academy we aim to provide superior training resulting in skills which are of value in the hairdressing industry and job market. We will always honour our obligation to our Learners to help develop them to their full potential. Furthermore, we will assist our Learners to acquire gainful employment in a reputable salon on completion of their three year learning programme . Our lecturers are of excellent teaching caliber and are persons of high integrity. We will always consider our actions carefully to benefit the learners as well as the academy and the salon. We have confidence in our abilities, celebrate our success but will guard against arrogance.

What Makes our Academy Unique

Pasquale Academy has been operating since 2004 and we offer a three year SSETA & DHETaccredited full hairdressing qualification which includes the required fundamentals.

Our salon is large enough to indenture the learner as an Apprentice as well as an Academy Learner, therefore on completion of the three year course the Learner has also completed all the required hours . This gives Pasquale Hairstylists complete control over the learners education and our past results have proven how successful the Pasquale Learners are in the hairdressing industry on completion of the course.

The training ratio is 30% academy training and 70 % salon training. The learner will attend Academy 2 days per week and work in the salon three days per week with payment in line with apprentice wages as stipulated by the Hairdressing Collective Agreement. This is a part time apprentice salary and can provide the learner with pocket money for the month.
Working and academy days are subject to change due to salon and academy roster/calendar requirements.

On completion of three years training Pasquale Academy will prepare the learner for a Trade Test. On passing the Trade Test the Learner will have a SSETA recognized qualification. This qualification is also fully recognized in many other countries and no entry exam will be required if learner should decide to relocate.

There are no hidden costs. All products and hairdressing equipment is included in the course fee. A good quality student kit will provide the Learner with training mannequins, hairdryer, scissors, clipper, brushes, combs, cutting collars, timers, hairclips and everything needed to perform tasks required by a hairdressing Learner.

The suitable candidate must have the following qualities:

      • A love of all aspects of fashion
      • Must have high energy levels
      • Must have a minimum qualification of an academic matric with lower grade maths.
      • Be a people person and enjoy interacting with people at all levels
      • Be creative
      • Always be well groomed and presentable.

Pasquale will develop your hairdressing skills to a very high standard and after three years on the Pasquale course you will have the ability to work at any top salon. There is a great shortage of well trained hairstylists.

“According to JobBank USA, the hairdressing industry is a huge growth area all over the world. As with clothes, hair styles change with fashion and with more and more people taking an interest in the way they look, the hairdressing industry will be as popular as ever for a long time to come.

People are now realizing that it is not their clothes, shoes, jewellery which describes them it is also their hair, this is the reason they are getting more experimental and are more open to change.

The result? You can see on the street that women are going for their own individual and different style, they are not bothered about what people will say. There is a lot more movement and texture in the hair than used to be and it has also benefited the stylists as they can show their skills and creativity. Today hairdressing is one of the top industries in the world and as fashion expands in the fashion industry, opportunities are growing at a good pace, not only in hair salons but also in film and TV industry, fashion houses, magazines, photo studios etc.

So if you like working with people, like to use your creative abilities, have an interest in fashion and art and enjoy a sense of achievement in your work, then a career in hairdressing is waiting for you. I feel there is tons of potential in the hairdressing industry, the opportunity for growth and personal development is part of the profession. Hairdressing is a career which allows you to showcase your creativity to have fun, to earn name, fame and good money. Great opportunity for growth and to meet new people and always learn something new.”

When you have good hairdressing skills you can change how a client feels about herself and she will look and feel amazing when she leaves the salon .

We have very high expectations of you but we will give you opportunities in the hairdressing industry such as competitions, photographic work and show work during your three years training.

IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT YOUR HAIRDRESSING CAREER THEN PASQUALE HAIRDRESSING
ACADEMY IS THE WAY TO GO.

ACHIEVE , BE CREATIVE AND MOST IMPORTANT HAVE FUN
